Super Bowl Crock-Pot Party Food: The Family Jewels.

So what's a mom to do when she is faced with 100 degree days, a little-mister-picky-pants who won't eat much of anything, and a huge desire not to cook? Whip out the crock pot, my dears. Ya'll know I like recipes where you just dump stuff in and walk off. Here's my easy one that all the boys will eat.

Whether they eat side dishes or not at least I know they're all eating protein. And of course I'm sneaking some sweet potato puree into it, so they're getting some vitamins without their knowledge. Cuz I'm devious like that. High five for me!
The Family Jewels
1 bag of frozen meatballs
1 package of Lil' Smokies
1/2 bottle of Hunt's Ketchup
1 can of cranberry sauce (you know, the jelly stuff you use at Thanksgiving)
1 jar of sweet potato puree baby food

Dump it all in the crockpot. Stir. Put on the lid. Set it on low. Walk off. Come back in a few hours and voila. Pass out the forks to the boys, turn on the Rangers game, and go take a bubble bath while the boys chow down.
Did you know Hunt's now has only FIVE INGREDIENTS? AND, now has NO high fructose corn syrup. For those of you who's households swim in ketchup, good news, huh?

As far as checking it out yourself: Hunt's Ketchup is now on rollback at Walmart, AND it's on sale this week at the Dollar General store.

Follow Hunt's this summer on Facebook here. You can upload a picture of your family having a major or minor triumph. High Five for you from Hunt's! You'll have the chance to win a family vacation prize, or weekly prizes! I uploaded a picture of Luka at the dentist. It was his first appointment, and in grand ol' Luka style, it took me, Quinn, and the dental assistant holding him down to get thru it. Whew! Triumph. High Five (and a martini) for mommy after that.

Cheeseburgers! Yum. I've always looked for ketchup without all the extra stuff but there are so few and the organics are so expensive! I was so excited to see Hunt's new version!! Thanks!

BTW - that is the only ketchup I buy since it has No High Fructose Corn Syrup.
We love ketchup on Meatloaf - I know, not original, but we go through almost a whole bottle on meatloaf night!

I think I'm too late for this, but I just wanted to let you know that I love ketchup on scrambled eggs (and I'm not even from Kansas!). In fact, I don't even like them without ketchup except for when I have french toast with them, then I pour the syrup all on them.

Well, I'm sad I didn't see this giveaway yesterday, because I probably would've won one! Darn.
