How to get a discount on eye glasses + donate to ending breast cancer.

Raise your hand if you think getting old sucks. You there in the back row? I can't see you because I'm freakin' blind. One new-to-me expense since passing 40 has been eyeglasses. Going from 20/20 to tri-focals for my first pair wasn't the biggest shock to my system...it was the (gulp) $700 I paid for my sassy pink glasses. Transitional lens tri-focals ain't cheap, apparently. What's a savvy coupon mommy to do? Turn to a retailer who sells glasses online.

I'm checking out GlassesUSA.com for my next pair. GlassesUSA is an on-line glasses store with prices starting at $18. So, for some sassy pink frames, even with my fancy tri-focal lens my total cost would be less than $50 with shipping for prescription glasses that are pretty darn close to the ones I have now. I'll just use the specifications from my eye doctor to order a pair on-line. Pretty easy. They even have designer brands! I can start to think of glasses like a jewelry accessory now, and have a few pairs to rotate around to match my outfits. Why not. I'm a pretty princess, right?

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, GlassesUSA.com will be donating $1 from every sale of glasses to a breast cancer organization. And, in addition to that, they're also offering a discount of 15% to Mommy's Wish List readers when they use the code: CancerAwareness at check-out.
