You've got the best-dressed Halloween kiddo? Prove it!

I don't know about cute...but Luka could definitely garner an "original" prize for some of his creations. This year, he's decided on being the blue goblin from the book "The Rainbow Goblins". Kind of a scary children's book if you ask me, despite the amazingly beautiful oil paintings that grace it's pages. And that blue goblin is strangled by a rainbow in the end. Maybe the gruesome is the appeal. *whatever happened  to wanting to be a cute little monkey?* It was gonna be this or Jamie from Mythbusters. I think average-Joe homeowner woulda just scratched their head and handed over the candy. He'd have to blow up a few lawnmowers or something for them to get it. I think the blue goblin will be both safer and more recognizable as a legit Halloween costume.

But, if you think your kiddo’s costume is the CUTEST and BEST-DRESSED on the block, here’s your chance to prove it. Enter the Best Dressed Halloween Costume Contest from Gilt Children. Simply post a picture of your kid in his or her outfit *And I know you're going to have lots and lots of them to choose from. Am I right?* to enter for a chance to win $1,000 Gilt Groupe credit. (Woot! That's Gilt dollars you can use on the Gilt site.)

Between now and November 8th, visit the “Contests” tab on the Gilt Children Facebook page.  Then just upload a photo of your kiddo in his or her costume to the Gilt Children page. The 10 most popular entries—as voted on by Gilt Children fans until November 19—will become finalists. Become a fan of Gilt Children, and you can encourage your friends to vote for their fave (your kid, obviously) the following ways:
1. Invite friends to participate in the contest with this Gilt invitation. *hey sheri, look how cute my kid is!*
2. Post your vote to your Facebook wall by selecting “Share on my Wall” when you vote for your favorite photo. *hey everybody I went to high school with, don't you wish your kid was this cute?*
3. Let your friends know that you can vote for each entry once per day. *people, vote for my cute kid or I will pull out THOSE pics from high school and post them. luv ya. mean it.*
Upload that picture now, and then vote early and often! From the finalists, a panel of Gilt Groupe judges will then select five winners based on the overall quality of the photo and the costume. They'll announce the results by November 26 on the Gilt Children page and on Gilt Children Twitter. Each of the winners will receive a $1000 credit for use on Gilt.com.
