Win a $50 American Express gift card from Pampers!

Join Mommy's Wish List and Pampers this month in our Little Miracles Mission: to help out a new mom, or two, or 30,000! They have already provided 30,000 gift packages to new moms in NICU's across the country. And they'd love for you to share your story of how you've paid it forward to a new mom, on their Facebook page! They've made it easy to help out, "Like" them, and with every "Mission" you accept, there goes another surprise gift or surprise baby shower from Pampers to a new mom.

In my neighborhood we have our own small way of supporting each other as new moms. We have a Sunshine Group. We make and take new meals to new moms the first few weeks after they've come home with their baby. I remember how hard it was at that time to even get myself out of bed, much less make dinner. So when both my now 13-yr-old and my 4-yr-old were born, there was the Sunshine Group moms with dinner. I made my share of dinners after that since I realized what a help that is.

Pampers provided Mommy's Wish List with a gift card to find a way to pay it forward, like I always say, to someone else. So this month, I provided diapers and other toiletries to a family who's house burned down in my neighborhood. I also paid forward all of Luka's outgrown clothing to them so that their kid would have something to wear, since they lost everything. I also have several Mother's Day surprises planned for some of my neighborhood mommy friends. Shhhh!

What would you do to help a mom in your area? Cook her family a meal? Buy her baby some diapers or clothing? Send a note and some flowers to an expectant mom just to let her know you're there for support? Take her out for a nice lunch? I challenge you to in some small way, support another mother that you know this Mother's Day.

Win it:
Would you like to pay it forward in YOUR neighborhood? Pampers will send one of you a $50 American Express Gift Card to use to help out a new mom that YOU know! Just leave a comment tell me what you would do to help a Little Miracle that you know, to be entered WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. I'll leave this prize open until Mother's Day, Sunday May 7th at 5:00pm CST at which time I'll randomly choose a winner. If your comment does not have an email address it will be considered invalid. Entries must be from U.S.

My neighbors, who just moved in, have had a difficult year. He was admitted to the hospital before Thanksgiving and was there until mid-January! During that time, his wife gave birth to their 3rd child. They were in different hospitals, so he wasn't there for the birth. I helped by keeping their 2 kids as much as possible, but they could use a blessing to help them, as he'll be having yet another surgery in the upcoming week. It's been very stressful for them.

My cousin had a baby last Tuesday and I would use this at someplace like Supper Solutions where I could stock their freeer with meals for later use. (We also have a hot-meals program for new moms in our family, but this would help them when it ends)

What a great prize. An acquaintance of ours just had twins 6 weeks premature after a long battle with infertility. I would love to surprise them with some diapers and wipes delivered to their door!

I know several mommies that could use a little help. And it'd be so fun to be able to bless them with surprise diapers! (Those things can get expensive!)

Thanks for the giveaway!

I would give the 50.00 gift card to an organization in my town called "Baby Love". They help expectant mom's who are unmarried, without much money and have decided to keep their babies. The $50.00 would go for one new mommy to buy a layette and diapers to get her started. Thanks for the chance to be an "angel"

Well I would use the gift card to buy some fun stuff for baby AND mommy! I know a lot of moms want to feel the love, too, so I'd make sure she felt special too. A lot of women at my church are having babies now, so I'd put it toward one of them!
