As we get to the end of the school year, I start looking for worksheets and interesting materials to keep my kiddos from losing ground over the summer. Luka keeps asking me questions about the world, and I am working on trying to teach him how to be a person and not a wild baboon.
And so for this summer, I went looking for some Social Studies lesson plans and introductory materials. I found out that Studies Weekly, the company that writes those neat classroom worksheets and workbooks for my kids at school will also let me order those little booklets for my kids at home! Totally reasonable priced too.
Luka loves reading the few magazines he gets in the mail, so I thought he might love having a new work booklet about a Social Studies topic to fill out and play with me every week this summer. I can get a one-year subscription even (24 glossy work booklets for $9.98), so that he continues to learn on into Kindergarten next year. Studies Weekly lets me easily choose my state and grade level (and it's all state standards based). I ordered these Kindergarten Studies Weekly booklets.
Home school moms, teachers, or moms like me who want to add to their child's public school education at home, you can even order a free sample of Studies Weekly curriculum materials to check it out for yourselves.
